October in Full Color

I’ve alluded to it over the years, but this damn barn has been a real pain in the butt. What started as a seemingly simple plan to bring the beautiful old building up to code has spiraled into more cost, headache, and hoop-jumping than I can possibly fathom. I’m not even ready to reflect on it yet… not until it’s actually done — which, at this point, looks like next month. So, more to come then.

For now, we’ve officially demoed the entire shed. Ugh.

In other, far less frustrating news: a fallen tree on the driveway quickly became firewood, salamanders were gently cuddled, a tree frog was relocated to the small pond, mushrooms were hunted, the cold plunge got some action, and the fall light really gave us a show.
