  • As the owners of beloved central city wedding venue, Union Pine, and Nob Hill restaurant and venue, Bar West, Summer & Patrick Triato have taken their passion for beautiful places to the woods to take on their biggest labor of love yet at Deep Creek Farmstead.

Many years of care by the land’s former owner helped to establish character and curiosity in the wandering trails, gardens, and buildings, and the Triatos have picked up where she left off, putting the lens of entertaining and gathering into every detail. As we wrap up renovations on the barn and grounds, we are thrilled to be booking weddings and events for 2024.

The freshly-finished 4-bedroom homestead has had a bustling opening on Airbnb, hosting dozens of gatherings and straight 5-star reviews, and serves as the perfect ‘getting-ready’ locale for the wedding party, and as a very rare and important highlight - also serves as overnight accommodations for up to 14 guests. On site camping is widely available, so couples are able to be surrounded by all their guests for the day, night, or even the entire weekend.

Our property offers two main ceremony locations - the steel pergola, or in the shade of our great eucalyptus tree - though there are several fields and beaches you may opt to exchange vows. Year-round, receptions of all sizes are hosted in our barn, though smaller dinners can enjoy the setting in the wisteria and weeping cedar-draped pergola.

Attention to detail has been brought to every aspect of your experience here, and in the hand of experienced event professionals, your planning experience will be seamless. We are eager to welcome our inaugural event season, and many happy years ahead.

  • YES! All seven sprawling acres are yours to enjoy and explore during your time here. Please note that while a Deep Creek venue manager will be on-site during the hours of your event, you will be responsible for ensuring that all of your guests treat the home and land with respect and adhere to our policies.

  • Rental of Deep Creek Farmstead ranges from $1500 to $7000 depending on season, day of week, and daytime / overnight events. Our rates are outlined on the Event Package document below.

Bar service is handled by our beautiful Portland restaurant, Bar West, which is renowned for our exquisite cocktail program. Our rates are highly competitive as this is a very plug-and-play offering for us, so a good estimate for all-in bar costs is $35 - $75 / per guest.

We offer an OPEN CATERING policy at Deep Creek Farmstead, but do require that you utilize a licensed and insured caterer for your reception dinner and meals of 30+ guests. Catering costs also vary greatly, but you can estimate $75 - $150 / per guest, plus staffing of $400 - $800.

Outside rentals for your event are another cost with a lot of variables, but you can estimate $2500 - $5000 for an entire event package (tables, chairs, plating, linens, glassware, utensils, etc), including delivery and pickup.

Client is required to rent portable restrooms for all events over 30 guests. 1 toilet is required for every 50 guests, and an additional toilet is required for events over 6 hours.

You will likely also want to hire a DJ and wedding coordinator, both of which you are allowed to do with any vendor here. A rough estimate for these contractors is $1500 / ea. You will also need to rent portable restrooms, which range from $500 - $1200 including delivery & pickup. Depending on your vision for florals, you can estimate $2000+, though couples do not need full floral set ups here, as the nature and landscape provide plenty of beautiful greenery.

Standard cleaning services for the end of your event are included, though if you are booking the 2 Event + 2 Night package and wish to book a professional cleanup behind your Friday night event, we are happy to coordinate for an additional $50/hr.

See ‘what should we budget’ above for additional costs you will want to consider, including Bar Catering through Bar West.

  • Absolutely! We do not have official sound restrictions, but out of respect for our neighbors - both human and wild - we ask that amplified music end at 10pm and a quiet volume is kept among guests after 11pm.

  • There is parking on-site for up to ~40 cars, depending on whether your party has RV’s or larger vehicles. Overflow vehicles will be directed to park on our neighbor’s property and walk down the hill to us.

    • FIRES - Fires are allowed in designated fire pits only. If you are the last one to leave the fire pit, you are responsible for ensuring the fire is properly extinguished (please ask for help if you need it). In the event of a county fire ban, no wood burning fires are permitted, propane fires are still allowed. Fires must be extinguished by 10pm or end of event.

    • DOGS - You are welcome to allow your guests staying outdoors to bring their pets, but they must remain on leash at all times, and should be kept a close eye on as there are both birds of prey (that may attack small dogs) and small vermin / rabbits (that they may try to hunt). Of course, owners are responsible for picking up after their dogs. Dogs are not allowed in the pond or into the house.

    • KIDS - Please be sure children are supervised at all times - especially near the pond, cliffs, and creek. Non-confident swimmers should wear life jackets at all times while near the water.

    • FOOD / TRASH - Be sure food messes are cleaned quickly as field mice, raccoons, bees, etc will be attracted. Trash must be maintained throughout the weekend when DCF Staff is not on-site, so we ask that our guests designate 2-4 people that will be in charge of ensuring messes are controlled to prevent any issues.

    • CRITTERS - There are no apex predators in the area, and the snakes found here are all very gentle - so please do not hurt them. Be sure to notify parents that children must wash their hands after handling the rough-skinned (orange-bellied) newts, as their skin emits toxins that can cause rashes or severe sickness if ingested.

    • POTENTIAL INJURIES - Stinging nettles and blackberry thorns are plentiful - be aware of their appearance to avoid welts / scrapes. The yellow jackets can be aggressive in late August and early September, so we provide traps and a suction tool to aid with stings if necessary. The ‘Clay Creek’ can be very slippery when wet. Water shoes and walking gingerly will prevent slips. No diving into creek.

    • SMOKING is highly discouraged on our property. If you must, there is an area in the parking lot for designated smoking. Smoking elsewhere on the property will result in a $500 fine. We have a high fire danger in the summer months and fire is something we must remain highly alert about.
