The Clearing

We’ve long been curious about the blackberry-choked two acres visible from several spots behind the barn. It’s remained an alluring and impenetrable tangle while we’ve been focusing on other areas, but we’ve been dreaming up ideas for The Clearing for years. Through bare winter trees, we could make out two ponds and the silhouettes of several dead trees, but we knew little else about this expansive chunk of our land.

This weekend, we decided it was time to explore.
