New year, New projects: laying floors, finishing bathrooms, and more surprises…
The breakneck pace of progress carried right into the New Year, with new hardwood floors going in upstairs, framing for the reimagined downstairs bathroom taking shape, and tile finally going up in the gorgeous new upstairs shower — I’m so glad we decided to add that skylight! It completely transforms the space.
When the weather cooperates, we’ve been making steady progress outside too — cleaning up the overgrown hillsides, clearing trails, and taking advantage of the season to battle the blackberries while they’re dormant. There’s still so much to do, but seeing fresh light pour in (both inside and out) feels like a pretty perfect way to start the year.
