seven sprawling acres, countless adventures

‘Deep Creek Farmstead’ sits on seven acres along beautiful Deep Creek, just before it feeds into the roaring Clackamas River. Throughout the sprawling property, trails weave between the trees and ferns, around the pond and along the brook, and down the gentle slope to the creek where our 700 feet of creekfront reveals cedar groves, fresh streams, and beaches with swimming holes, currents to float, and rocks to perch on while you unwind and enjoy.

Wildlife surrounds us, from our resident blue heron, the wild wood ducks, owls, hawks, and eagles, and the swifts who come to roost in the chimney each year. Bees, butterflies, dragonflies, turtles, frogs, deer, and squirrels all make their homes here along with us, darting amongst the plethora of plants, flowers, and our very precious trees - our stunning eucalyptus, heritage fig tree, sumac, oaks, evergreens, and the orchard of filberts, apples, and pears.

We are bordered on two sides by 30 acres of private park land, and the creek serves as a barrier along the entire North side, so the setting is peaceful and private, yet the city is just a quick drive away. (We are on the border between Damascus and Boring, and ~15 minutes from Oregon City, Happy Valley, Estacada, and Sandy, and 30 minutes from Portland).

The location and scenery are prime for many occasions - a dreamy nature wedding for up to 100 guests with plenty of room for campouts, lodging for a family wilderness escape or a celebratory friendcation, a quiet yoga retreat, or a team building session; this is truly a place to be seen and loved.

The expansive creek-front property provides various locales for ceremonies, dinners, dance parties, campgrounds, and naps. The steel pergola holds 60 ceremony-style guests with seating on both sides to accommodate a line of sight for up to 100. Other backdrops for ceremonies include the giant eucalyptus, beneath the towering oak in the ‘upper two’, or on the ‘lower field’ beside the pond. Any of these areas are also ideal for camping locations with flat land and various shade and sun exposure.

Outdoor meals for smaller guest counts can be enjoyed in the ‘Garden House’ or al fresco in the front garden, and events for up to 75 can be served within the walls of the fir barn. Utilizing the space just outside the barn allows seating to increase up to 100.

weddings & events

With 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, a brand new cedar sauna, and a sprawling back deck with hot tub overlooking the creek, the home is equipped for a dream weekend away for up to 12 guests.

Nearly the entire home is crafted in wood both inside and out, and the interior is recently renovated, with brand new paint, finishes, fixtures, appliances, and decor, so you'll be happy to find all the bells and whistles in pristine condition.

An ideal location allows for easy access to metro areas while still providing seclusion and plentiful wildlife. Plan your trip to include a day at Mt Hood, a rafting trip down the Clackamas River, or just sit back and soak up all that the land and home have to offer.

However you enjoy your time here, you won’t soon forget this place.
