Late Summer

As the kids head back to school, the thistle die and the roses turn to buds, and just like that, another summer at our favorite place comes to an end. This month is packed with harvesting and weeding chores, but there’s a quiet kind of magic to it all. The mornings are cool and misty, the kind that call for a sweater and a warm mug cradled in your hands as you walk the rows.

Soon enough, the days will shorten and the fields will fall silent under winter’s watch. But for now, we’re soaking up every golden hour, grateful for the messy beauty of the season’s close — and dreaming already of what we’ll plant when the soil warms again.
